The main rail services to and from Norwich provide direct access to Wymondham, Ely, Cambridge, the Midlands and the North and to Diss, Ipswich and London. Improvements including faster services to London and direct services to Stansted have been delivered. The east-west rail route linking directly to major growth areas around Milton Keynes and Oxford is a long-term aspiration.
