GNLP & Nottinghamshire LSC
The Nottinghamshire Learning & Skills Council (LSC) supports the GNLP Executive Team to ensure that LSC priorities and activities are effectively translated into the local learning and skills regeneration agenda. The LSC recognises GNLP as an effective means to engage with wider partnership structures and plans across the conurbation, and its ability to add value through promoting strategic alignment.
Similarly, the Partnership looks to the local LSC to provide both sub-regional and regional information on skill needs and priorities. It also draws on best practice from their ESF Co-financing tendering process, and seeks their endorsement and guidance with their own discretionary procurements.
The LSC sits on the both Greater Nottingham Skills Board and its Executive Group (which doubles as GNPs Learning, Skills & Employability SAT). It has also committed a member of staff to work with the co-located core-team for Making the Connection, so that their mainstream resources can be targeted effectively under the aims of the project.
